(blinks) Wow where has the time gone? Well if you pay attention to my Twitter, you already know...PROMOTIONAL WORK! As of recent, in the last few days, I've updated some T-Shirt designs & even did a banner. I'm proud to re-introduce Diva On A Dime, Black Geek, Ethnicity (Human; Earth). Also proud to display a new design, Papillon (Hot Butterfly)! I'll attempt to update these in the gallery asap, but alas, the work week is about to begin for me.

Also my personal life has been keeping me busy when work hasn't.

Updated the Modeling Pages after a long pause. Promotional work is going alright, would still like more. Hoping to book my first convention show (prays to universe with fingers, toes, arms, legs & eyes crossed) for next month & I'm already excited about it. Joined yet another model site, Model URL which is like an upgraded version of Model Mayhem.

What else could I possibly say here...I'm just trying to go forward & keep moving. I'm just thankful you know? I feel so fortunate despite the times. OH! I cut my locs short & I've got wigs to give myself a different look for marketing ability. (singing Ralph Tresvant) "Guess I'll do what I gotta do..."

My weekends are all but non-existant now with work. I'm not complianing! Been a while since I've worked a wedding & after this past Sunday, I can't wait to add a few images to my portfolio! The bride was a joy to work with. Also, looking forward to seeing a video I played lead female role in last Friday for musical artist Kafele. Was fun to do & it's only wanting me to do more.

I'm pretty much running myself ragged trying to stay on the clock for pay. In these times, one really can't afford not to.

Tomorrow is not promised so in my growth to enjoy my life more, sometimes I don't get around this way much...pardon me.

At long last, the promotional work is coming my way! I can't book enough. NO REALLY I NEED MORE WORK!!!! Just when I thought I missed my chance from earlier this winter...nope. Who else needs this lovely lady to promote your brand?

Officially I've joined forces with Golden Seed, Inc. for design & photography services. This network of Creative Black Professionals is something that is seriously needed in Chicago. The hope is to add more to the listing & get this city on lock for our services.

Getting calls for work is nice...when people follow through.

HipQuake's launch was a great success! Happy to be a part of something positive. Check out this video to get a taste of how we rock Dance Fittness Fun.

The new MySpace layout has been delayed thanks to 9-5 work, just when I was almost done!

Modeling gigs have been everywhere BUT in Chicago that I've gotten word about, dang!

Another movie poster for Deep Productions is in the works. Business card & site work is in talks. Flash design has been started.

My creativity dates back to childhood. I've gotten back into clothing. Recently made a dress form & started t-shirt reconstruction. Looking forward to sketching & buying fabric for some great styles.

It feels incredible to make this stuff happen! I'm getting back to all my creative roots.

OMG it's a NEW YEAR! Many thanks to all who voted for me. Will let you know if I'm called regarding the e.l.f. cosmetics campaign. Just updated the main page. Also pushing like crazy for promotional work. With all the companies & events going on, I'm wondering if color really is playing its part on me not getting booked. I will not frown on it, but instead keep applying cause I'm good at this & I look fantabulous.

I've been working with HipQuake a great deal. Now we're on to the Street Promotion; designs designs designs.

Wondering when I'll get the official photos from that runway show.

Created a FaceBook Fan Page for business purposes. Will upload more content to the photo album tomorrow, don't want all the same stuff on every place besides my basic information.

Have a few shots from the runway show, official shots from 2 other photographers are coming. The universe blessed me with a kind soul that shared some modeling information. Talk about networking.

Getting ready to Walk the Runway for Chifa Elite Fashion Explosion. Very pleased with this, finally my first runway show! Go fig, color me subdued in expression today.

Designed the customizations for HipQuake on Ning.com & LuuLuu is happy with it.

Two logo designs done for LuuLuu's Belly Dancing. This will extend to branding with clothing & other products as well as e-mail bullitens, business cards & flyers. Feels good to work with someone that knows what they want & wants to get it done! Simplicity has been the basis.

Two fliers yet to be finished. Produced another t-shirt design, hoping to do a few more. Winter feels like it's come early in Chicago so I'm trying to stay healthy.

I have just recently learned that MySpace is now forcing people to log onto the site or join if they don't already have an account to see a user's page. This sucks for me, as the layouts I've done is directly connected to that user's page. Will put up screen shots soon. Sorry for the problems.

Going to share my space with those that need it till they can get their own. My online space that is. LOL

Did a photo shoot with D. Vixen MakeUp & JBody Studios this past weekend. Was a great time with awesome results, check the Modelling page. Another shoot to do this week (thank goodness for google calendar), calls about regular gigs, ah, fall.

I survived a most unpleasant sinus infection all last week. It lingers still.

A few months back I cleaned up my files and deleted a BUNCH of stuff from the site that was unused. This morning I found that one image was connected to my design pages. This is what happens when you forget to check your pages every now and then after changes to the entire site. Don't worry it's all fixed. Templates are awesome.

Trying to cover some details to work business better. Completed ONE photoshoot from my casting call. Ah yes, scheduling is the hardest part. Was hoping to join a 'modeling group' but the terms of the contract was terribly vague in the wrong areas. It was an exciting thought none the less. Contemplating new designs. Looking to doing more networking.

Oh to balance work and fun now that the weather is just right...game on.

Last week (or sooner), I got the modeling gallery updated, go look, it's AWESOME! Now to do the same to the rest of my work...ah fun!

Posted a modeling call where I am the photographer. Working with Natural Beauty Photos & happy that I've been asked to join the crew of Golden Seed, Inc. for creative services. The catch now is scheduling. Looks like the shoot won't be happening till the end of this month. Also learning p's & q's of requirements for a shoot & such. I need to take a study break.

Updated the modeling page. Seems I have to note about nude work because some people will take me for a fool. Added another shot. "Photographers" beware: Do not ask of anything that was not already mentioned in your ad. E-mails & text messages can come back to haunt you... I do implied nude work for pay only.

I've been a bit of a social butterfly. Well this happens every year but I'm usually that person that has a camera EVERY time I go somewhere. The debate; do I charge for these photos? Now people expect me to do it...when I don't even have my camera out. Hey if everyone else has there's why pull out mine? LOL Add Event Photography to my list of skills.

Added a few more images to the Modeling gallery. The Photography portion is still being dug through, picked, thought over and such. Did a flyer for a Belly Dancing Fitness Class. Staying active to pull the swimsuit edition, lol, no seriously.

Never fails how the littlest updates turn into more and then I'm up all night. Failed to note the independant movie poster, "If You Love Me" by Deep Productions. I see they are casting for another film, I should hope I'll be getting another call from them. At 3a, I will fix the broken link on Design and add the latest after I get some rest. ha ha

Winter/Jan 2009 - Let History Reign

My goodness here we go again! I've opted to drop the previous titles I've had for this site. InnerVisions of Beauty is still my thang but lets face it, dot org is just so much easier for folks to remember right? After a lot of thought, Beautiful Works is done for. That title started after a design course assignment years ago. I'm proudly to say it's to be replaced with get TAGged for design. I'm also proud to say I've been online for over 5 years here. And in case you were wondering, dot com was taken at the time. *smile*

Today's economy has forced my hand to be a true jack of many trades. Life can keep me away from this site sometimes. Though I've kept the plan to keep it simple, my desire to create tends to complicates things. With such a large canvas, I set myself back; especially when I have clients to attend to. Artists huh, LOL

The mass vamp of this site has been a few years in the making. This time around, the theme, "Getting Back To Basics" is to keep it simple, clean yet catchy to the eye. The remainder of the site will be added as I finish the pages.

Thanks once again for stopping by. By all means, do look around, tell your friends, and come back in the future. I am working on layouts for pages on myspace for others (and eventually myself) as well as other freelance design work.
